Community Rental Equity Fund

The Community Rental Equity Fund (CREF), is a referral-based security deposit waiver program that seeks to establish effective partnerships with tenants, landlords, and service providers.  CREF reduces barriers to accessing affordable housing, while protecting the landlord’s investment up to 2.5 times the monthly rent; the ultimate win-win scenario. Previously known as the Landlord/Tenant Rights & Responsibilities Manual, this guide is widely recognized by municipal government, county magistrates, social service agencies and real estate sales/rental professionals as the most helpful resource for both landlords and tenants. The guide clearly offers information on the expectations of both landlords and tenant in an easy to read format and is available in 8 different languages.

Landlord Magazine

This spring, LHOP will be producing the first edition of “The Bottom Line” – Lancaster’s first digital magazine just for landlords and property managers. The first edition will have lots of great information about Historic Preservation, Affordable Housing, community resources, and more! Come back we will be updating this information soon!

Rental Advantage Course

RAC is a renter education certification course that will increase the renter’s knowledge of the landlord-tenant relationship, making them well-informed and one that any landlord would want as a tenant. This class will provide an interactive, in-depth look at what is needed to be a successful renter and will empower participants with the skills to navigate the rental application process.
